yesterday my ear hurts! The left one. Sakit gila! Went to the doc’s at 11.30am. She gave me antibiotics and painkillers for my ear infection and 1 day leave. I also asked and got 1 month worth of appetite suppressant. Hmm… appetite suppressant takes too long to type, so henceforth it shall be called... umm… APE ASS! (Don’t ask how I come up with these things… I am in awe myself!)

*Sigh* Never thought I would need drugs/pills, thought I could just exercise, watch what I eat and get fit with no problem. Mind over matter I always say. Thought I had a strong mind. I do not. My mind is more like SOTONG than STRONG.

So, it looks like my mind needs a good kick, umm start, therefore, APE ASS it is.

I’ll have to come back and see the doc after 1 month for a weigh in and more pills, have keep it up for 3 months then stop for 2 month before continuing taking the pills if have to.

Spent $106 at the doc's. $26 for my ear infection... $80 for the APE ASS. Pop in 1 APE ASS around 12ish (was told to take it before breakfast), figured since I hadn't had breakfast, it'll be OK.

After lunch at 2, pop in 2 antibiotics and a painkiller for my ear. Felt a bit sleepy.

Made myself comfy on the sofa to read the APE ASS product info, (note to self: next time read the product info 1st before consuming never seen before pills.) Fell asleep almost immediately, but not before reading the reason I should be taking the pill in the morning before (or after) breakfast, is so it doesn't keep me awake at night.... NICE GOIN' AZI. I also remember reading I should be careful driving (no worries, I live 5 minutes away from work, what could go wrong?), operating heavy machinery, and other activities requiring mental alertness until I know how APE ASS affects me.

I woke up around 7pm with a clear head! R E A L L Y C L E A R head! I must say that it was the best sleep I had in a long time! It’s almost 3am now, and I don’t feel the least bit sleepy at all! See!!! I’m using EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!! CRAP!!!!

I really have to try and sleep now… oh and set the alarm to take APE ASS 1^ST THING IN THE MORNING SO THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN AGAIN! Bye bye!!

ugh.. (you know this will be a bad blog if i start my sentence wih an "ugh") i'm not feeling well (hmm.. what else is new) The doc gave me a day off, but I came here (at work) anyway (around 11am) cause there're some drawings i need to get out before i go on my holiday. anyway.. since i have nothing happy to share with you today.. i'll just post a few pics.. my new shoes.. and my cat! (ok technically he's amir's cat, but i say whoever scoops the poop owns him).
I don't normally buy stuff/shoes with the brand in plain sight, but this one is okay i guess (unless i plan to tip toe around town that is).

ughh.. PC Fair just started here in JB from 10-12April 2009. So, until it blows over, I going to stay at home where it's "safe". *groans* whose bright idea was it to plan our family holiday 10 days before the @#$% PC Fair! Azi, you must not spend a dime untill you are safely on the island! (hmm.. maybe if i focus, and just buy an external hard drive at the fair... i really need that...) NOOO !!! Boss, boss... When last you saw me, which was on Tuesday 3.00pm, you gave me a pile of work to do. Half an hour later, i had chest pains and trouble breathing (more on that later). So, 3.30pm I went to the doctor's, was ordered to take the rest of the day and Wednesday off. Today at 9am I come in and you straight away ask my work progress. When faced with a problem at work, CALM THE HELL DOWN!!

Solve the DAMN problem first! Don't jump up pointing fingers and make a scene, ESPECIALLY IN PUBLIC. RAISING EVERYBODY'S BLOOD PRESSURE WON'T SOLVE ANYTHING! Save your breath and solve the problem.

Then only you figure out how/who went wrong. AGAIN, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE IS NOT NECESSARY HERE! There's only a handful of us, so it won't take long to figure it out and most likely you yourself caused it hence the panicking.

Anyway, whoever fault it is, JUST APOLOGIZE and remember not to repeat it. We work in a SWIMMING POOL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY for god's sake! Chill!

I was in a bad mood today, I didn't go to work, but can't stay home either, so I got in my car and went for a drive. Its all good. Stay in car, get some air.
At 2 PM my stomach starts grumbling, right. I haven't had lunch, or breakfast either! (I usually skip breakfast anyway).

Didn't feel like eating alone, (I'd better not eat alone! bad things will happen..)but everybody else is working, so, I went to Eda's workplace (in Tmn. Daya!) to see if she can get out and have lunch with me. She's a teacher, don't teachers work half day or something?? well... the answer (when I got there) was NO. Genius. should have called first.

Anyway, she gave me a tour of the kindergarten where she works. Saw a lot of kids.. sleeping.. it was nap time I guess. There's 3 or 4 1 1/2yr old too in the nursery. or was it 5 or 6? dunno.. they, were wide awake! and running around! she even handed me a baby. erm, Eda, babies and me don't go well together. give me a cat, and I'll have it purring and eating out of my hands in 2minutes! but babies.? no thank you. anyway, her friends there suggested I go to Jusco Tebrau. So off to Jusco i went, and I ended up spending $50+ at HARRIS's and another $50 at Kenny's Rogers roaster (including takeaways for dinner). Hey at least it's grilled chicken! On with my dinner pics!

Boys and girls, On Saturday 6/11/08, my "reunion" turned into a mini reunion cause most of the girls can't make it. Guess the timing wasn't right. (weird, the date was picked with after I asked most of them when is a suitable time). Monday the 8th was Hari Raya Haji. So...
Anyway 8 of us weren't busy so we came anyway. (NOTE TO SELF: When someone says "ANYTIME, COUNT ME IN" it doesn't mean shit.) We had dinner at a cafe. Don't remember much about the food, guess I was busy talking, but it was a cool night. Now on to the pics!!

Here's a more cheerful subject! Last Sunday, 16 November 2008, Amir got married to Atul, his high school sweetheart. The marriage ceremony was held at 10am in the Atul's house in Labis, Segamat. (ok... we were 10 minutes late.. so make that 10.10am) Actually, we (me, mom, Aida, Aina, Ima, and Amir) we were early! very early it seems as we had arrived there at 8am at the rumah bersanggar only to find the host (atul's friend) was still sleeping. (There was some misunderstanding somewhere). Anyway, we had to prep and wait at a nearby mosque. Looking back it was actually funny, my family are not known to be early for anything, but we managed to pull it together for Amir's sake, but we ended up late anyway.

Umm.. where was I? Ok.. ceremony at 10.10am. then breakfast at 11am. Bersanding and reception at 2.30pm. Then MAKAN. 4.30pm back to JB (me & mum) (aida and aunty Sabariah) to KL (aina and Ima), to Muar (aunty Munah, Pak Tam, Mak Tam, Wani, Amin and Amelina) to Mersing (Uncle Din, Aunty Tah and Yan) and to Pasir Gudang (Uncle Mail, Aunty Liza, Angie and Darwish).

I took pics.. but the camera is still with Amir and he's on his honeymoon in Genting. so I'll post em later next week on flickr. Oh meanwhile here a picture of them that I took with my phone.

ok so maybe, HATE is too strong a word. I just dislike it cause I'd moved to another school for my last 2 years of high school, and well I feel a bit left out cause everybody else will have 2 years more memories than me. heh.. dumb huh.

Yesterday was Deepavali, so Happy Deepavali to those celebrating, and Happy 3 day weekend to the LAZY half of Malaysians who only works 5 days a week. For me and the other HARDWORKING Malaysians (bitter much?) who have to work half day on Saturdays too, I don’t think a few extra hours surfing the net off, would make any difference. So, meh!

Forgive me treadmill for I have sinned. Last week I’d wobbled, and now have completely fallen off the “couch-to-5k” wagon.

Week 2 of the program never happened. On the 1st day of Week 2, I didn’t feel well. I’ve been feeling nauseous on and off since a few weeks before (I feel a bit queasy right now actually. Oh wait! Ohhh… never mind, I thought maybe its guilt, but I’d just threw up a little, so let me cancel that off…).

Anyway, I skipped a day… and the day after… and the day after that… and well, a week has gone by and I have not stopped skipping. Feeling nauseous was/is a big reason I’m on my ass right now (and not to mention all that skipping!). Other reasons were... CINEMAX, HBO, STARMOVIES, Animal Planet and McLeod’s Daughters. :P

Ok, so, today after work I’ll be starting Week 2 of the Couch-to-5k running program. Week 1 went well. Um, ok that’s a lie. I was on my back all day yesterday (yep, I called in sick!) cause my back hurts like #$%* from the last session the day before! I’m pretty sure it’s because I didn’t do a good stretch before and after the workouts. Stretching is BORING! It’s like the longest 5 minutes ever! But, as I found out the (painfully) hard way yesterday, STRETCHING IS NECESSARY! IT’S CRUCIAL! IT’S VITAL! Ok, that’s about all the English words I know so I’m going to say it in Bahasa Melayu (is it Bahasa melayu or bahasa Malaysia? If its bahasa Malaysia shouldn’t Mandarin and Tamil and other Malaysian language be included? If I had a kid, I would want her/him to be able to speak in more than one or two languages. It’ll be a great advantage.)

Where do i begin?

Hmm... as posted yesterday, me, mum and Eda went to visit dad in the hospital. (i should have taken pictures!) As we were getting ready to leave for home, Eda can't find her car keys. So we ran (when I say my family runs, it means we walk hurriedly) to the parking lot and found the key still in the ignition AND... the doors locked. huh?

here's the thing..

Her car doesn't have an alarm so she opens and locks the door manually with the key. But it seems that sticking the key in the keyhole is "too much of a hassle" for her, so what she'd normally do is lock her door from the inside (which in turn will automatically lock the other doors) and lifts the door handle from the outside before shutting her door.

She say Amir taught her this. Yeah, ok. But I'm sure Amir had also told her to TAKE THE KEYS OUT FIRST!! duhh... (this was later confirmed when I called Amir and told him that Eda blames him for us being locked out!!! hehe!! he practically screams it over the phone!)

So anyway, since amir is too far away to fetch the spare key (he's still in PG, didn't come to visit abah.. yet he's still the favourite one! ugh..) the plan was for me to take a cab back home and drive back to the hospital in my car.

So i reached home, found the spare key, and realizes MY car key is IN EDA'S CAR! (don't ask).

Ok, nevermind. There's a spare somewhere in the house!

So I found the spare, stuck the key in to open the door, and then NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENOOOOOOOO NEEEEEEEEENOOOOOOOOOOO 100x

the car's alarm went off! ... and the key was stuck to the door!

what?! what?! what?! why are you alarmed?! I'm using the correct key! OK i know it's not the regular key.. it's the spare key.. but it's yours! why? why? I'm not breaking in! i own you. shut up! please! is it the battery? do you need a new battery? I'll buy you a new one tomorrow... just stop blinking, let go of the key and SHUT UP! please you're embarrassing me!

so after 10minutes with a bit of pushing, pulling, turning and pleading... (and a promise to wash him more often) the car quiet down and the key slid out.

ok. ok. good boy. you just quiet down and rest... i'm gonna grab a cab to the hospital. ok? we'll talk and figure this out tommorow!

So, even though the car is unlock and no longer "alarmed"and i have a key, I took a cab.

Note: Yes. I talk to my car. And yes... it's a boy!

Update: my car is fine, he's just not used to the other key.

It's 5.07pm. I have just arrive home from work (5 minute drive, 2 minute to open and close the front gate). I'm waiting for Eda to arrive so we can go see dad at the hospital.

We checked dad into the hospital yesterday morning in preparation to get his eye done (remove cataract). It's the left eye.. i think. No, wait. Maybe it's the right one?! Anyway, he already got one eye done, so now it time to do the other. So we've been through this before. Dad's pretty relaxed about it, unlike last time. He even brought cigarettes!

Amir will drop by the hospital later. I think. I'm not so sure (he'd better).

Hmm.. Mel is making a lot of noise outside, (poor thing, I didn't pay him much attention today). So, got to go. Bye!

The other day, Amir and I watched an old video of mum's 58th? birthday (last year i think). It was really funny! i wanted to share and post it here, but umm.. due to its violation of one of mum's "rule for showing her picture or video to people outside of the family".. I can't.

The phone is ringing off the hook!

Akaks is on Emergency Leave today, which means HELL for me. Somehow every time she's not in, the phone would start ringing off the hook and anything and everything that could possibly go wrong WOULD go wrong! WTF!

You might be thinking.. what's the problem? answering calls is not that hard!

Well, sure it's easy. I can handle most calls and make a few arrangements and stuff, BUT.... all hell will break loose once The Loud One calls. And he NEVER FAILS TO CALL!! AND bring with him all kinds of problem or work that in my opinion he himself should be able to handle that he can't handle, for Akaks (or me!) to sort out. (Why did the boss hire him?! Oh yeah, they are brothers.) Anyway, he'd just called. And yes he'd just unloaded a bunch of crap on me which I've just sorted out.

Ugh..

It's a nice day outside. I won't ruin it with talks/insults about The Loud One. I'll do it in another post. Heh! Right now, I think I'll go make myself a cup of coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet while it last. (it's been 10 minutes since the last call) Oh yeah, i still have my own work to do!

i think it's not. i know it's not. i hope it's not. [sigh] i'm not sure of myself lately.. can't you tell?! [smiles] heh! i still have my sense of humour though.. (i think?!) heh! [smirks] not a lot of people "get" me.. i found a few.. and I'll try my best to keep them close.. and there are those who'd tried (or are still trying) to understand me.. i love you for trying, but don't hurt yourself! i'm complicated. it's ok. you've tried! it's the thought that counts!

then there are some that wouldn't even bother.. (i don't mind..) they just "skip" me. oh please.. [smiles sweetly] doooo.... go on and on about yourself, how your day was?, how you think this... how you think that.. ask me what I, think about you... yes.. listen to me and my thoughts.. about you... then say.. "really?! you think so?! but i think..." yes.. YOU THINK.. YOU THINK A LOT ABOUT YOURSELF.

oh! and thank you for telling me "i'm a good listener" at the end.. i live to serve.

ugh.. now i hate myself..

i really don't mind that much. listening. i don't say a lot. so..

and maybe (i'm pretty sure) i'm guilty of blabbing/turning back the subject so that it's about me sometimes. try to remember kids... a conversation goes both ways. a blog, with comments function disabled, goes one way. their (my?) way. heh!

so i guess.. "blogging" or writing my thoughts down.. is a way .. for me to think.. about myself. me. myself and i. (that was corny) anyway, this way... i can save someone from being "a good listener". and sort myself out.

Dear nieces and nephews,

When you get your 1st job make sure:

You come in everyday, prepared. Which means, before coming to work, make sure you and your brain are awake. Shower. Dress. (plan and iron your outfit the day before, shoes and socks included) Sit down and have breakfast, and come in to work early. Do all this calmly.

Now, doesn't that sound better than...

Waking up with just enough time to run in for a quick shower (soaping yourself with one hand and brushing your teeth with the other. Then rummaging your closet or laundry basket for something to wear and ironing them with one hand while trying to dry your hair with the other. Get dress and hope whatever you put on matches. Hop in the car with your stomach growling, and drive to work while trying to put on your make up/or combing your hair every time the traffic comes to a stop. (ignoring the squeaking sound your car makes when you hit the brake pedal cause you didn't have time to warm the car). Risk breaking your neck and run up the stairs and arrived at your desk panting and out of breath only to find your boss has arrived a few minutes earlier and that this automatically means you are late to work. AGAIN! Yes, even though it's only a couple of minutes before/after 9, YOU ARE LATE.

When looking for a man/woman to spend your life with or just as a gf/bf make sure he or she:

... has a sense of humor. (This is VERY IMPORTANT in the long run) He/She should get/tell an intelligent joke, not the dirty ones! (everybody gets that one)

I'm posting this at time when your Tok Kop and Tok Yah is having a fight. Over a cat. YOUR dad's/uncle's (Amir) cat. I won't go into details... yet. Tok Kop has been grumpy, angry, impatient, blaming, hypersensitive and cranky for some months now and the cat is just one of many things he's a problem with. If he wasn't a guy, you'd think he's having his period!

..but i love him anyway.

I'd started a journal for them before.. ala Doogie Howser.. (in my old p.c) but it (the old p.c) crashed and burned (seriously.. ) and well everything went bye bye.. but i think I've made a copy of it.. again... somewhere... Hari ni tak pegi keje, pegi blajo 3D kat mutiara rini (tempat dayah). tunggu.. tunggu.. tunggu.. ada 2 org lagi tak dpt dtg.. so cancel... kira aku dtg melawat dayah je lah.. (ape raa.. takmo dtg call la awal2!) tapi alang2 aku dah kat situ... RJ tunjuk ler skit2 intro aku kat software2 yg nak pakai tuh.. so lepas dah pandai kang.. aku ler yg kene buat 3D visual kat TBJ nanti. RJ tolong skali la.. hopefully. Sakit perut aku memikirkan waterfall ngan pond TBJ yg tak dpt2 final design tuh!

fuuyoo! smalam One of our pool guy, amik (or disuruh..tak sure) cuti 3 bulan.. cuti ape 3 bulan? tak kisah la tuh.. so skang short sorang budak service pool. boss budget2 Ah choy tolong amik alih. kesian ah choy.

anyway petang nih, balik jer dari service pool, ah choy pegi masuk jumpa boss. anderson ikut skali. Ruper2nyer diorg nak berenti keje.Ah choy dapat keje buat akauns kat Singapore. anderson nak pegi keje kat tempat lama dia balik.esok last day budak 2 org tuh. waa!! sedih betul.. Ye la.. ah choy laa yg menyambut aku datang masa 1st keje dulu. dia la kawan aku sebelum aku ngam ngan akak. masa aku tension ngan keje dia la yg dtg lepak bebual ngan aku. WAAAA.. SEDEYYY NYE!! (over sgt ker?) but he is a very nice boy,very polite, rajin! tak pernah masam muka. Anderson pulak (same age as me, i think) is one funny guy! Everytime I went to see him downstairs he 'll always have a new joke/funny story to tell. I'm gonna miss them both. (sigh!)

haa.. so now, dah la short budak pool satu, salesman dah takder langsung (anderson), general clerk/office boy (ah choy) takder, (actually sgale benda dia buat, dari pegi bank, gi post office, gi binding, gi service pool, gi tampal kolam, angkat barang, kemas stor, sediakan barang, jaga kluar masuk klorin, gi photostat plan.. gi beli kuih.. gi beli air.. )

tapi tak sumer citer sedih, bos naikkan gaji aku! (dia takut aku pon blah agaknyer). Balik rumah, aku sakit perut, biasala org pompuan. eh, amenda aku nak citer tadi?

Oh ha.. balik tuh.. aku bagitau mum.. (yes I still live with my mum n dad, believe me, if my work place wasn't 5 minutes away from their house, I’d moved! GOD! If one of them tells me to go to sleep cause it’s late .. (AccordING tO ANCIENT tIMES, 11:30pm!! is very late!) I"LL pull my head off! yes. I SAID HEAD! NOT HAIR!! HEAD!!

Argh!! sidetracked again! where was I? ah, balik tu.. aku cakap, "had an interesting day at the office today". mum, "apesal?" I told her about ah choy and anderson.. and the pool guy. (bear in mind aku tgh sakit senggugut masa tuh.)so aku citer acuh tak acuh je la.. then aku bagi tau part boss nak naik gaji.. dgn muka tak heran aku.. memang dah tak heran sangat pun masa tu.. sbab aku pikir2 memang dia patut naikkan pun.. janji confirm 3 bln nak naik and add allowence. nih dah 4 bln, wat dunno jer. anyway, i DESERVED it. sikit punyer bnyk keje! sgala benda aku kene buat (the downside of working in a small company.) yg aku tak reti/bkn keje aku pon, aku buat. main terjun jer. blaja sambil bekerja ye kanak2!

this is of course not how my mum saw it. she told me.. jokingly, "boss takut Ajie pon nak berenti kot tu yg dia naik gaji." and then she laughs... :p (ok.. yes its half-true.. but part mana yg kelakar?) btw, I'm used to this.. um.. kind of treatment/reaction from my parents.. cause in their minds, I can do nothing right, I can't possibly be of any importance... I don't really do anything.. (sometimes I wonder what the heck do they think I do from 9 to 5 everyday, for 5 1/2 days a week!) so, that’s part of the reason why I wasn’t to enthusiastic to tell them about the raise.

(dad was not in the room with us.. he was sitting right outside the door.. but I think, he heard our conversation loud and clear.. the man may have bad eye sight... but he sure ain't deaf!) anyway, he'll probably act all surprise (in a not so surprised way) when I/my mom tells him the news. and then he'll probably say the same thing mom had said... or something along that line..

ha ah.. baik.. memang baik.. aku tak ckp pon diorg jahat.. just that.. I wished that they are more.. supportive.. (in a "u can do it!!" motivator kind of way..), more appreciative... (come on people!! give credit where credit's due!) and a bit more trusting...

I'm back! Had a good time in KL. sampai2 jer jumper ena, ima n amir kat petrol station n pegi makan mlm... (my treat! Ye la 1^st gaji) pastu balik rumah ena, erm, rumah ena ker mima ker amir? tak kisah lah. tiba sana I think we ate some more. then bebual n tido. pagi esoknyer... breakfast and lunch kat umah... kitaorg masak laksa johor! ada sedare mare dtg... that was nice too. then mlm kluar mkn kat cerana? cendana? ntahla... yg terapung tuh... tak best pun. then balik bebual, I think we ate some more then tido. (hmm... I’m starting to see a very unhealthy pattern here...) esok pegi mall aperntah yg besar tuh... sempat round sebelah jer. tuh pun berapa tingkat jer. tak kisah lah. tgh hari kluar makan... then balik, kemas, n balik JB.

ooh! dah tiba jb. satu hal jugak. kene pecahkan cermin nak masuk rumah sbab kunci tak ada. aku la yg kene pecahkan cermin. heh! now I can put "menceroboh masuk rumah" in the skill section of my resume.

Cepat2 aku masuk bilik dia... Dia tgh tgk drawing yg baru dia bawak balik. Dia complain kat aku pasal
arkitek sorang nih. Tak yah lah aku cerita apa yg dia sakit hati sangat tuh. Kesimpulannya...balik
lambat la aku hari nih.
